Ina, Cyrus and I had sch a good time at Old Town Occoquan. I love this little town! It is quite and has tons of history and character. It is like a little hidden gem that is away from all of the hustle and bustle of Old Town Alexandria. So anyhow, Ina and Cyrus are getting married later this month and I am so looking forward to their wedding. It seems like we booked so long ago and I am excited to see it all hapen. I love how they are so sweet to each other and so in love. This shoot makes me happy. Have a nice day!

Cara and Nick are so fun! They were up for anything I wanted to do. I told them we are going to go shoot buy this old school bus and then into this field with power lines. They said SURE! I love when clients let me choose everything!!! So we had to sneak in this backyard to shoot the school bus and the whole time i just knew a big dog was going to come bite me int he rear but we really wanted to get these cool shots. Then in the field I wish there was a video of us because that field was a mess! My legs were bleeding from all the scrapes and we had the hardest time walking. BUT it was so worth it! I love these pictures. I can’t wait for their wedding in September. Happy Friday everyone!

Julia and DJ are getting married next month here in Virginia. I was so excited to finally meet them. They are home from college for the summer and their wedding is almost here! Julia’s mom lives on my street and goes to our church so I felt like I already knew her. We ran over to a field by my house and shot a few summer loving shots. I love the warm sun and the beautiful glow it gives. Despite the ticks we found on us after we got home this session was amazing and fun! Yes I said ticks…ewe!

While I was in Houston a few weeks ago I met up with Jamie and Sinclair to shoot their engagement session. They flew in from San Francisco to shoot on this HOT humid Houston day. They are getting married in October and I am very much looking forward to their wedding. These two are so natural in front of the camera it was really fun taking their pictures. Once again even though it was hot I am loving summer sessions!!!

Mary and Chris were married on July 3rd in Washington DC at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Their reception was at the super gorgeous Cosmos Club. Everything was so beautiful and vintage feeling. Mary is a glowing beautiful person and this day was no exception. Mary and Chris are very laid back people and they wanted to make sure their wedding reflected that. I love the way all of the details turned out and i love the simple yet very vintage feel this day had. Mary got ready at her parents home in her old room. I loved seeing her pull her dress out of her closet to get ready. Mary had this picture of her when she was a little girl and on it was a taped paper that said, ” I’ll be a bride someday…”. It was fun imagining her growing up dreaming of this day. The ceremony was beautiful, the dancing was hot and this was a perfect day! I was so lucky to have Jenn Link second shoot for me. She was amazing! The amazing lady who pulled this day together was the wedding planner, Sara Franklin. She was so much fun to work with. Oh ya don’t you love the cute little Mary and Chris cake toppers? CHRIS painted them! So that’s it, this was an amazing wedding!

Brooke and Travis had the most relaxing wedding ever. This was absolutely the most easy going wedding I have ever shot. Brooke is such a doll. Brooke chose a wedding dress that matched her personality. It had pockets! I think that is so cool! She is the sweetest and most caring. She is a 1st grade teacher and it was so cute that some of her students that came to the ceremony. It was funny to see their faces while their teacher was getting married. They had their ceremony at Westminster United Methodist Church in Houston then the reception was at Ousies Table. The food was AMAZING! The guests were comfortable and as happy as can be. I love seeing receptions where guests feel at home and everyone is really enjoying themselves. Natalie of Two Be Wed was the planner and she made all of the details come to life. I LOVE shooting weddings with Natalie! So if you can’t already tell this wedding was a true favorite of mine! Brooke and Travis are amazing and their wedding reflected them perfectly! I am loving summer time weddings!
