We are incredibly excited to announce our new project, The EAD Library.  After months of development and research, we are launching a new resource for brides tomorrow, Tuesday July 22nd.  The Library is filled with hundreds of useful links, from photographers to shops to stationers.  Our goal is a simple, comprehensive list of vendors.  The Library will help every bride, no matter her location, find the vendors and inspiration she needs for a beautiful event.  ”

a little canadian wedding, eh?

lisa and i had so much fun going to canada last month to shoot marcie and miguel’s wedding. marcie is a cousin of mine. i got to meet her and her sister erin for the first time! i love my canadian relatives!  it was fun because my mom and dad in law were there too. my uncle steven and aunt linda are amazing and we always have the best time with them. so it was so good to meet the rest of that side of the family. sorry for all the family who’s who rambling…on to the wedding. it was in the quaint little town of london. we had a little spa day on friday, then the rehearsal and backyard dinner to follow. saturday was all day wedding. starting at the salon then back for makeup and to get dressed. it rained a little but it all turned out pretty well. probably the only thing that did not happen were some more outdoor pictures at the beautiful golf course. anyhow, we were amazed by how beautiful the cathedral was. it was truly breathtaking! after mass we went back to the house for a few family pictures before the reception. now this was fun because lisa and i were guests too so after a certain point we stopped taking pictures and headed out to the dance floor. so fun! thank you linda, steven, marcie, miguel, heather, brian, erin and paul and everyone else for being so wonderful to us.

here are some things we learned in canada…

every one says “eh” all the time. i mean almost after every sentence. pretty funny, eh? ha! you can only imagine how much fun i had with that!

they eat KD (kraft dinner they call it) with ketchup (only heinz brand too). that is maccaroni and cheese with ketchup all mixed in. (sorry paul i have still not brought myself to try that!)

canadians recycle a lot! almost everything, 70% of their trash to be exact! they inspired me to do even better with my recycling.

enough of all of that enjoy the pictures!

this was marcie and miguel’s signature pose for the weekend! so as cheesy as it may be i just had to add a sparkle.

all of the kids were so fun to hang out with over the weekend. they even came up with this cool jump for me to shoot.

it was so fun getting to spend the whole weekend with everyone!

helicopter ride!!

so here is the really fun thing we did while we visited josh in alabama. his old instructor pilot from flight school has this little helicopter and he took the kids and i up for a ride. we have never been in a helicopter. i know that is weird because my husband is a black hawk pilot. but the army has strict rules and won’t let us. SO josh set this up for us and it was amazing! it is so different than being in even a small plane. you can fly just above the ground really fast and pull up and dive down. WOW!!! it was so fun!

**again more pics taken with our little g9. except the last one josh took with his camera**

grayton beach state park

we drove to the beach on thursday just for the day. this makes 6 states we were in last week. =) anyhow grayton beach state park is just west of panama city and a lot less crowded. it was fun playing in the water with the kids. although i only go to my knees. i watched jaws way to much as a kid and i am scared of sharks! i don’t tell the kids that of course. anyhow we had fun jumping waves, playing with dinosaurs in the sand and just being together. i only took out the camera for about 5 minutes so there aren’t too many pics here.  sometimes it is just more fun not having to worry about getting sand in the camera. will did get a tiny jelly fish sting but he is so tough he didn’t even cry. he told josh his ankle was hurting and when josh wiped a spot off him his fingers started burning. that is it that was our beach day.

sweet home alabama

well we spent the past 10 days down at fort rucker alabama with josh. it took us 14 hours to drive. yes we drove. just the kids and i. we went thru virginia, north carolina, south carolina, georgia and alabama. it was actually really nice.  i realized how much i missed alabama. we lived there for a year while josh was in flight school. kate was 2 and i was pregnant with will when we left. life is so small town there. everything is easy going and simple. alabama is a very nice life. we went on a few nature walks thru the many trails there on post. i will post on a few other things we did this past week soon.

**oh ya all of these images are shot with our little canon g9**

our little family. josh set our little camera on a post and when he went back to get it he was attacked by a wasp. if you know josh you can imagine the moves he made. he lost that fight and was stung on his stomach. =(

laura and ron

here are a few images from laura and ron’s wedding. this wedding was absolutely beautiful! really lisa and i were just in awe of everything. it started with laura’s amazing hair piece instead of a veil. stunning. laura looked fantastic! and lets not leave ron out. ron was very handsome too. =) laura had a friend do the flowers and all i can saw was wow! i loved the color choices and the desert table with little petifors and a coffee bar. everything was so fun. aren’t these bobble heads too cute? the wedding was at 2nd baptist in the chapel and the reception was at the river oaks country club. which by the way the green wall paper in that room was my favorite! what a beautiful summer wedding! i am not sharing their slideshow with you guys because they wanted to keep that private. congrats laura and ron!lauraron247_1.jpglauraron319.jpglauraron322.jpg    lauraron331.jpglauraron312.jpglauraron333.jpglauraron341_1.jpglauraron413.jpglauraron350_1.jpglauraron421_1.jpglauraron495_1.jpglauraron560_1.jpglauraron590_1.jpglauraron645.jpglauraron689_1.jpg

my little cactus garden

so i am so loving this little creation i just had to post it. i just got home from ikea (again) and i bought these little cactus plants to remind me of texas. =) this took less than 5 minutes to put together. each cactus was $3 and the base is actually a pot saucer which was $10. then i saw these little black rocks that remind me of these moon rocks my dad has outside at home. anyhow the rocks cost $2. so for a grand total of $24 you could make one too. kate and will loved doing it. of course they only helped with the soft ones and the rocks. happy monday everyone!untitled-1.jpg
