view of dc from a black hawk

so today was my lucky day! i got to ride in an army black hawk and flew all over DC tour guide style. josh’s unit here dose a spouse fly day each year. that is awesome because i didn’t think i would ever get to fly in one much less get a tour of DC! i think josh has such a cool job as a black hawk pilot! he is actually an instructor pilot now. sorry had to brag on him. i am so proud! so anyway, i am not an aerial by any means and the black hawk is quite bumpy but here are a few of my favs from today. enjoy!

national cathedral. amazing!!! now i just want to shoot a wedding there!

November 26, 2008 - 7:50 pm Vicky @ Event Accomplished - Wow! What a view! Lucky you.

November 26, 2008 - 8:43 pm Armin - Hey I recognized that 2nd shot of 95. It's at Fullerton & Backlick Rds in Springfield, VA just south of the infamous mixing bowl =) Great shot of the cathedral, I love shooting weddings there! It's always impressive. So cool you got some fun aerial shots!

November 26, 2008 - 8:58 pm Mandy Hank - Wow- amazing shots! I have never been to DC but am dying to go so you've just inspired me to plan a trip!

November 26, 2008 - 9:08 pm Sally - So fun! What a great way to see the city.

November 26, 2008 - 9:18 pm Emily - Wow I did not know you could fly so low around the Capitol like that. That's actually the Georgetown waterfront, not Watergate. The real Watergate is much uglier.

November 27, 2008 - 12:29 am tim - hi laura! National Cathedral is where I proposed to Talida... that picture takes me back! See you this weekend :)

November 27, 2008 - 9:09 am talida - Tim beat me to my comment :P But that is definitely a great way to tour the area, lucky you..

November 27, 2008 - 12:01 pm brooke schwab - i want to get picked up next time! i like the first shot.
